Wincanton Sports Centre

LED's Wincanton Sports Centre is a state of the art facility designed to look after all of you and your family's leisure needs!

Our modern gym and dedicated instructors will lead you towards your health and fitness goals or for added motivation why not meet up with a friend at one of our exercise classes?

The four court sports hall hosts specialist activities to keep the children inspired.  Our amazing 25 metre swimming pool has an adjustable floor to enable the depth to be altered and has such a comprehensive range of lessons and sessions - you can be assured there's something for everyone!

Directions

From the A303/South of Wincanton:

Enter Wincanton and head East along Station road and follow the one way system. As you pass the large church on your right, turn left on to West Hill. This is signposted for Sports Centre and School. Continue along West Hill for around ½ mile and the entrance to Wincanton Sports Centre is on your right. The entrance is shared with the King Arthurs School. When you turn in, stay right and follow the road around. The centre will be right in front of you

Travelling from the North: Travel south along the A371 until you reach the Holbrook roundabout, turn left and travel along West Hill for approximately ¾ mile. The entrance to Wincanton Sports Centre will be on your left just past the school. Do not turn in to Dancing Lane even if your Sat Nav tells you to! Simply continue past and enter at the school entrance. The entrance is shared with the King Arthurs School. When you turn in, stay right and follow the road around. The centre will be right in front of you.

I first started using the leisure centre when I moved here a few years ago. It has become so much more than somewhere for me to exercise, it’s my social hub. The staff are so friendly and for a small town the facilities on offer are fantastic!

I never learnt to swim as a child, and finally plucked up the courage as an adult to visit my local swimming pool. Immediately help was on hand as I was booked onto an adult beginner class. There was me thinking that I was the only adult in this situation. My instructor made life very easy from the start, taking one small step at a time. Two years later & I am now confident in my ability to swim, have an LED AQUA Membership & swim at least three times every week. I never thought in a million years that I would now class swimming as my favourite hobby!
