Ottery St Mary King and Queen of the Mountain

Join in This First Ever Epic Mountain Cycle Climb! 


Set to take place at 9am on Sunday 15 October this is the first time trial event to take place in Ottery St Mary for the Ottery St Mary King and Queen of the Mountain and Go Ride Event at the Land of Canaan! It looks set to be a great success!

Riders from all over the country are getting ready to tackle what was the first King of the Mountain of stage 6 of the Tour of Britain in 2016. Participants will be lining up at the junction of Chineway Hill with Kennaway Road and finishing the climb at the junction of Chineway Hill with East Hill Strips

The day is crammed full with heaps of fun!

  • 8.00am - Big Breakfast served at participating restaurants
  • 8.30am - Hill Climb Cyclists gather at the Institute with lots of coffee and cake available!
  • 9.00am - Start of the time trial!
  • 12.00 noon - Start of Go-ride event at the Land of Canaan
  • 3.00pm - Duck race
  • 6.00pm - Open Cinema

PLUS! Exeter Aces Cycle Speedway Club demo, Daisy the Climbing Jack Russell, Urbanflow and street dance demo, The Smoothie Bike, The Watt Bike, Simon Croft and his Magic Balloons, Beer tent, BBQ, Plate competition to design what will be the winning jersey of the Hill Climb in years to come and many stalls!

PLUS! Heaps of Prizes to be Won! 100 medals to win in the Go Ride event, Exe Estuary glamping and cycling weekend away, Cycling jerseys, Bike water bottles, Cycling caps, Bike pump, Tyre Repair kit, Pens, Stickers
