LED Community Leisure now has 5 Inbody Machines across LED sites.  The machines are located across all sites on a rolling monthly basis, please contact your local centre to book a 15 Minute appointment or book through the App.  Each Unlimited member receives 4 usages a year but it is only £2 for any non-member.

The Inbody is a Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis Machine but what does this mean?

  • BIA is a method of assessing body composition
  • Inbody uses BIA- small electrical current flow through the body
  • Resistance (impedance) is measured to calculate body composition
  • Different resistance to Body Water, Skeletal Muscle Mass, Body Fat

The InBody goes beyond traditional body composition analysis measuring fat, muscle, and total body water. Total body water data can be divided into intracellular water and extracellular water values important for understanding a user’s fluid distribution in medical, wellness and fitness contexts.

Non-Invasive, Pain-Free Testing

Safe, low-level currents are sent through the body via hand and foot electrodes. The impedance of the currents encounter is measured in order to derive body composition. InBody’s BIA technology provides accurate and consistent outputs that are highly correlated with gold standard methods.

Each InBody Test will print out a full-page results sheet detailing the muscle, fat, and water values of the user. The InBody provides you with lean mass and fat values in each segment of the body to give you a proper assessment of body composition.

Segmental Fat and Lean Mass Analysis

Identify how many pounds of lean mass are in each body segment. This can be used to determine how specific diets and exercises are affecting body composition.

Injury Identification

Identify and track inflammation, swelling and even joint injuries with ECW/TBW Analysis. Monitor these changes over time in the Body Composition History chart.
