Parkrun Comes to Exmouth!

Parkrun in Exmouth starts on Saturday 23 December!

What a great way to blast away the cobwebs just before the Christmas festivities get underway!

Parkrun is a fabulous free, weekly, 5km timed run that is held every single week all around the world. Every single run is open to anyone and everyone, it is free, safe and easy to take part in - although you will need to register for the event.  Details on how to register can be found here

And if this day couldn't get any better for Exmouth, we are so excited that the inspiring Jo Pavey, Devon based Team GB Athelete, will also be there on the day to join us all!

Starting on Saturday 23 December Exmouth's first Parkrun starts and finishes outside Ocean, Exmouth and has a fantastic course with some stunning scenery all ready for you!

All of the details of the course can be found here on the Parkrun website!

Parkrun coming to Exmouth is an amazingly exciting event for the community - we look forward to welcoming you all there!

I'm Run Director for the first run next Saturday, and I would remind everyone first of all that parkrun (wherever held) is not a race. It's very much a weekly community run, or indeed walk. Very few 'rules' - mostly in place to protect all the participants and volunteers (who nearly always are runners themselves). We are likely to have a big crowd on the 23rd, so arrive early, and as we say #DFYB (Don't forget your barcode)!
