I am Axminster’s health and fitness team leader and Sport and exercise has always been a massive part of my life. My first interest was in team sports, when I started playing Rugby, Football and Cricket for local teams and instantly loved it. I then started to train myself to try and improve my performance, mainly looking at cardiovascular work and muscular endurance. At 15, I competed in the regional cross country championships and began to base my training around this. I have been working in the leisure industry for 4 years, in which time I have thoroughly enjoyed helping people to achieve their own personal goals whatever they may be, showing great interest in all areas of fitness from sports specific to bodybuilding. You enjoying your training sessions is my top priority!

Fitness & health has been a major part of my life for as long as I can remember. I have been very active from a very young age, being able to swim before I could walk, playing tennis, involved in team sports as well as going to the gym & attending classes. In 2010 I changed my career from working in the NHS to becoming a full time Personal Trainer & Class Instructor & have never looked back; finally I’m perusing the career I’ve always dreamed of doing. I train a wide variety of people, ageing from those in their late teens to the elderly all looking to gain different goals. I’m able to help you lose weight/fat, gain muscle, improve your sports performance or just to general feel better
I have many great successes in different areas for example I’ve helped people loose weight & because of that they have gained confidence & more determination to keep it up, I’ve got a couple who train for endurance runs, one lady came second out of the girls in the grizzly. These are just some of my achievements that I have had with my clients

As a former GB elite triathlon champion (middle distance and national series winner) and world masters’ triathlon medallist (3rd world triathlon long course) I have continued to ‘walk the talk’ in personal health and fitness. I have worked in the sport, fitness and leisure industry since 1988, in positions ranging from personal trainer, GP exercise referral leader, elite sports coach, health & fitness manager and general manager. Throughout this time, I have developed a wealth of knowledge to provide personalised training programmes and services to meet and exceed personal goals and aspirations
Whether your goals are to increase general fitness and toning, better manage your weight, or compete in an endurance event; I have the experience and knowledge to direct and motivate you to achieve your objectives
My personal training approach is based on years of practical and theoretical knowledge, with an emphasis on developing clients’ personal confidence, motivation, self-analysis, exercise and dietary knowledge; and to inspire long term healthy lifestyle adherence
I will be pleased to discuss how I can assist you meeting your personal goals. For full LED Members a FREE initial, no obligation, fitness review meeting with me is recommended. This can be booked at reception. An initial fitness review allows me to establish your personal requirements, and provides an opportunity for me to detail your best personal trainer service options to meet your needs and aspirations. I am also available for an informal chat about your fitness requirements and general advice, so please do not hesitate to ask

This year I entered my fourth Race for Life and decided to walk the first part, then aim to run towards the finish of the 5K course. After the first few hundred yards my friend remarked that I seemed much fitter than in previous years. I explained that I have been helped by a personal trainer, Vladka Juroskova in Honiton for some time now and that her careful and thorough guidance had made a such great difference. Although I started from the back of the pack, we finished the course in just under 60 minutes, and by then not at the back!
So thank you, Vladka, all your efforts and patience are much appreciated. I am really looking forward to the next race in 2018!
