  • Buy a block of 5 and receive a 6th session free!

Hello, I am Vanessa and I am the Health Referral Lead at Seaton and Axminster.

I have worked within Leisure East Devon leisure centres for 30 years.

I have always been active from a youngster; I love my dancing and my musical theatre singing and acting

Since I was young on the local stages. I believe physical activity and Exercise is good for the Mind, body and soul. You can improve what ever age you are. I have worked with so many Clients of all ages and abilities. I believe any goal is achievable if you are prepared to work for it.

Education and Motivation are the key and that’s what I am here for.

I am Seaton’s fitness manager and sport and exercise has always been a massive part of my life. 

I have been working within the Leisure Industry for over 7 years, in which time I have worked with all manner of clients, all with individual goals ranging from sports specific to rehabilitation from serious injuries and illness.

I have a great interest in all areas of fitness and enjoy working with clients to achieve THEIR own personal targets and goals.  My clients enjoying their sessions is always my top priority!

Helena Hilder


I started working in fitness five years ago and it’s one of the best decisions I ever made! I love interacting with and helping people whatever their fitness level and goals, both one to one and in groups. I have been very lucky to have the opportunity to work with people of various nationalities, cultures and religions and learned that we all essentially want the same thing: a happy, strong and healthy life. It’s inspiring for me to be part of my clients’ journeys.


I love teaching classes – the energy in the studio is amazing, particularly during my Zumba classes. In my opinion, we can all do with more dance in our lives.


It’s important for me to keep up to date with the latest fitness research and trends, which is why I’m a member of ACE and IDEA. I also attended the Asia Fitness Conference & Expo in Bangkok in 2016 and 2017 and I’m looking forward to many more similar experiences. 


For me fitness is a lifestyle. Fitness makes me feel great, strong and it clears my mind.

Customer stories

This year I entered my fourth Race for Life and decided to walk the first part, then aim to run towards the finish of the 5K course.  After the first few hundred yards my friend remarked that I seemed much fitter than in previous years.  I explained that I have been helped by a personal trainer, Vladka Juroskova in Honiton for some time now and that her careful and thorough guidance had made a such great difference. Although I started from the back of the pack, we finished the course in just under 60 minutes, and by then not at the back!

So thank you, Vladka, all your efforts and patience are much appreciated.  I am really looking forward to the next race in 2018!
