LED’s popular Pilates classes at Ottery St Mary Leisure Centre work on both your mind and your body by developing your strength and flexibility whilst giving you time to unwind and relax

The fundamental of any Pilates session will work on strengthening your core giving you better posture. Working from the core outwards you will then build on your strength and flexibility with a mixture of resistance, repetition, dynamic movement and stretches

Relaxed breathing and low impact conditioning exercises combined with the precise stretches and postures in Pilates can also help ease stiffness and alleviate back pain 

Pilates gives you a unique form of exercise that both challenges and calms at the same time, you will soon see the benefits showing in a stronger, more supple body with calmer state of mind

For all ages and abiliites, everyone can benefit from attending regular classes.  As your core strengthens, your spine aligns and your joints become healthier, you’ll walk taller, sit straighter and feel more flexible
