LED offer outdoor leisure activities from Easter and through the summer in parks thoroughout East Devon.

Exmouth's Phear Park

golf sceneExmouth's Phear Park provides a great setting for approach golf, putting, tennis and bowls, and has recently revamped its cafe for snacks and refreshments. If it rains, Exmouth Tennis & Fitness Centre - with its six indoor courts - is just across the road!

 

 

Coburg Fields in Sidmouth

Coburg Fields in Sidmouth has excellent Grass Court and Hard Court tennis facilities as well as a putting green - all within a stones throw of the seafront.

We would also like to inform the public that the two tennis hard courts that are adjacent to Coburg Road will remain closed until further notice, whilst the two courts next to the bowling club will remain open for the public to enjoy free of charge up until end of March. As from 1st April charges for the courts will apply.

 

Seaton, Seafield Gardens

Seaton, Seafield Gardens provides a large and
challenging putting green, two tennis courts a
pavilion for Teas and refreshments plus a
magnificent view over Lyme Bay.

 

Walk This Way

Description of PhotoWe have developed a series of ‘Health Walks’ across East Devon, led by qualified volunteer ‘walk leaders’, who have undergone the National ‘Walking the Way to Health’ training, as well as training in First Aid & Resuscitation.

Devon Active VillagesDevon Active Villages is a county wide programme co-ordinated by Active Devon and delivered by Leisure East Devon Ltd. It seeks to support rural communities in developing long-term sporting opportunities for its residents.

Cycling and Walking Works

The Cycling and Walking Works project is to make better use of the existing transport network as well as ensuring that the promotion of sustainable travel behaviour supports the local economy. The project aims to deliver enhanced business productivity, increase new businesses and assist new development in Devon though delivery of work place hubs, better choices for the commuter and improved traffic management.

As part of the scheme LED will be offering free group and individual cycle lessons as well as group walks and information on sustainable travel.
